Trail Ride to Heaven

At Cowboys For Jesus we ride the long trail, the one that begins at John 3:16 where, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  From there we trail up the hill of Romans 3:23 where we find out that, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Then we venture down into the gully of Romans 6:23 and learn what the penalty for sin is, “for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Thankfully we come up out of the gully into the peaceful valley of Romans 10:9-10 and understand that, “if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

At this point on the trail we must make a choice, we can choose the wide trail that leads to destruction or the narrow trail that leads to life.  If we want life we must choose the narrow trail.  To gain life we must enter into a relationship with Jesus and ask Him to forgive our sins and give control of our lives to Him, asking Him to “lead us in the paths of righteousness for His name sake,” then we can ride the eternal trail into the Glory of the Kingdom of God because Romans 10:13 says, “whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Salvation is all about a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you know about Him but have never surrendered your life to Him, just pray this prayer and He will adopt you into His family.
